How we authenticate
Every watch is inspected by our watchmakers before it is listed. They examine the case, reference and serial engravings, dial, hands, bezel and bracelet, open the caseback to check the movement, and time the watch on a timing machine. Each watch ships with a Steel & Crown certificate of authenticity. This is our certificate, not Rolex papers; original Rolex box and papers are listed separately on every watch.
If a watch contains non-Rolex (aftermarket) parts, we say so prominently on its listing. Step by step: how we authenticate a pre-owned Rolex.
18-month dealer warranty
If your watch fails as a result of a manufacturer's defect during the first 18 months, we will repair or replace the item at absolutely no cost to you.
This is Steel & Crown's own written warranty. It is not a manufacturer warranty. The complete terms are available here before you buy, as the FTC's Pre-Sale Availability Rule requires. To make a claim, call +1 971 433 9218.

Frequently asked questions
Is your warranty a Rolex warranty?
No. It is Steel & Crown's own 18-month written dealer warranty. A Rolex guarantee applies only if a listing says a Rolex guarantee is still in force for that watch.
What does your certificate of authenticity mean?
It is our written statement that our watchmakers examined the watch and found it to be a genuine Rolex, with any non-original parts disclosed. It is our document, not Rolex papers.
